Establishment (at U.G. Level) in 1960. And P.G. in 1984. Till year 2007-08 there were always sufficient students in all classes, But approximately before 4-5 years this Hindi language faces some unfavorable atmosphere due to secondary and higher secondary educational policies of Gujarat Government. Such policies reduce the students offering Hindi as their interesting subject.

- Department organized various activities regularaly for the students as workshop, Quiz, Kavya Pathan, Seminar etc.
